Fariba Rahnema studied at Shiraz University then moved to California and completed her Internal Medicine residency at St. Mary Hospital in Long Beach, California, affiliated with University of California, Los Angeles School of Medicine, followed by Fellowship in Endocrinology at the City of Hope and University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Rahnema joined UT Southwestern Austin Programs as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine after her fellowship, and moved to Las Vegas in 2010.
Dr. Rahnema has been invited to speak at academic and local community venues such as the Local American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and university programs in continuing medical education.
Dr. Rahnema is board certified in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism. She is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Thyroid Association, and American Association of Clinical Endocrinology and she is also board member of the Nevada Chapter of AACE, and Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
Her clinical interests include diabetes, thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, metabolic bone disease, disorders of the adrenal and pituitary glands.
Dr. Rahnema enjoys living in Las Vegas with her husband and twins. She enjoys hiking, running and exercising.
